Posted on April 12th, 2020 02:05 PM

Who doesn’t like an enthralling TV show, amirite? These shows on Netflix are not talked about enough, and unjustly so, because of how brilliant they are. Choose your poison to group-binge or better still, watch them all!

1. Taj Mahal 1989
Taj Mahal 1989 is like a warm hug for a lovesick heart. Based in Lucknow in 1989, it depicts its different characters and their love lives, making a delightful commentary on intimacy in a retro Indian landscape. If you are looking for good Indian content, you shouldn’t give this one a miss!

2. Peaky Blinders
Peaky Blinders is a dangerous gangster family based in England’s Birmingham in 1919 and led by their cunning and ambitious (and criminally handsome) boss Tommy Shelby. If you love crimes and thrillers, this multi-award-winning show will prove to be freakishly addictive! Moreover, it is loosely based on a true story!

3. Queer Eye
Don’t you just love a makeover-oriented reality TV show? Queer Eye is a reboot of the eponymous early 2000s TV hit and is a brilliant show to immerse yourself in if you love food, fashion, design and cultural content, all in the backdrop of the Big Apple! Plus, it has won multiple Emmys!

4. Patriot Act by Hasan Minhaj
Apart from the fact that Hasan Minhaj makes us swoon, the fact that he explains such hard-hitting topics with such simplicity and humour, is what makes this show an absolute winner. Moreover, even if you do not have Netflix, all their episodes, digital exclusives, and Q&A sessions are up on YouTube for free! Also, did we tell you it won an Emmy?

5. Abstract: The Art of Design
If you love art, we insist you watch this docu-series as soon as you can. It’s unbelievably educational, thorough, and diverse. It traverses a plethora of topics, ranging from interior design and photography to costume and stage design. Also, an Emmy nominee.
