It has been a hot minute that we unitedly took the home-isolation resolution to beat this deadly pandemic. And we understand, although it is quite certainly the right thing to do, it can also get boring. Nonetheless, we at House of Sasha are quite big on helping you survive this. Therefore, today, we are here to give you some awesome podcast recommendations! You’re welcome.
1. Stuff You Should Know by iHeartRadio : Stuff You Should Know, often abbreviated as SYSK, is an award-winning podcast and video series hosted by Josh Clark and Charles W. “Chuck” Bryant, both writers at HowStuffWorks. You know, the site we often run to for help when adulting seems daunting. Stuff You Should Know is like the jack of all podcasts (and master too!). With topics ranging from the Stonewall Uprising, satanism, and chaos theory, to LSD, Rasputin’s death, and Rosa Parks, SYSK is the place to go when you’re feeling irresistibly curious. You can thank us later.
2. Beyond The To-Do List by Erik Fisher : Just because you’re stuck at home, doesn’t mean you can’t listen to career strategies! This podcast series by Erik Fisher is all about productivity- take, for instance, topics like public speaking tips, making work fun, time management, and using music for better focus. Options are endless, take your pick!
3. @Betches : Pop culture podcasts, where ya at? Right here at @Betches! @Betches is a weekly pop culture podcast covering topics that are the stuff of our leisure time- celebrity gossip, influencer news, TV show updates. It’s like a podcast version of that friend we all have who’s always up-to-date with all the hot pop-culture news. Plus, it’ll make you laugh your guts out!
4. Chuski Pop : Chuski Pop is a lot like @Betches, but a desi version of it. It’s bi-monthly, and covers everything that is relevant to us desi girls- staying woke, brunch hookups, fashion weeks, boy problems, Bollywood, the ’90s, bad art… you get the drift. If @Betches was like having a riotous BFF who makes us laugh and gives us celeb gossip, Chuski Pop is like having a badass sister who gives us feminist advice and helps us sneak out of home for a date (not that we endorse it, but you know, brown girl problems)!
